In conjunction with REC, the DLS provides both deep and medium resistivity measurements and is generally combined with the MFS tool. Three resistivity measurements provide invasion profile and determine accurate true formation resistivity in wells drilled with low resistivity drill fluid against high resistivity formation. The tool can be combined with other 530-series tools or sondes using TCT, REC and NEC subs.
